A virtual museum covering the history of Sumas, Nooksack, and Everson in Whatcom County, Washington.
Love the look of the old building. The newer one looks to modern and cold.
I agree! The old building was built with real interesting architectural details that made it a real treasure. I am really glad they moved it instead of tearing it down.
This is a beautiful building and it would be nice to restore it and recreate it as a Customs museum complete with the desks, chairs, old photos that many of the older citizens of Sumas may have as part of their private collection. There is a lot of history here for us to uncover and be proud of.
I agree it would make a beautiful museum building. I thought it would simply make a nice community museum while devoting a room to the U.S. Customs and another room to the railroad.
